Thanks for joining is at the City hosted community workshops in March, covering the same content, on Wednesday March 5, 6-8 pm & Saturday March 15, 10am-12pm in the Rose Room, Auburn City Hall
Thanks to those that joined neighbors, friends, colleagues and City staff to think long term and create a shared vision for Auburn’s future. The choices we make today about growth and development will have a lasting effect on Auburn’s ability to provide fire and police services, maintain roads and infrastructure, and balance our City budget.
We heard from you about how and where Auburn should grow. This workshop is part of Auburn’s General Plan Update, the blueprint for Auburn’s future. Your participation and insights will have a lasting impact on the community we all cherish!
Have you ever wanted to design a city? How about reshaping Auburn itself? Come play Which Way, Auburn?, a board game designed by the Envision Auburn 2045 team to enable the community to do just that! The game participants will provide the General Plan team with strategic concepts to merge into the City’s General Plan update where we can all watch them play out in the next 20 years.
The workshop consisted of a short presentation and project overview, followed by a fun and interactive Auburn-themed board game, custom designed by our team to help participants understand and influence how Auburn will grow and change over the next 20 years. The workshop closed with a short period of open dialogue and group reflection. Pizza, salad, and drinks were provided.
Stay tuned for a summary of the workshop that will be posted here soon!
